Many wedding days start out at home with brides, grooms, bridesmaids, groomsmen, hair and makeup experts, and a few important people.
Many times, the wedding party continues on to a wonderful venue. But these are different times and this bride and groom were able to flex their plans, filling their special day with the warmth of very close family and friends in their own home and back yard.
With a bit of planning, this turned out exactly perfect. Because of the change in location, their special guests included a couple of tie-wearing, handsome family members who would not otherwise have been able to see their people exchange vows.
What they love was present in the planned details as well as the unplanned.
Getting ready didn’t include travel for this wonderful couple and there was no problem with forgetting to bring something important along.
Another benefit is the many opportunities for this fair-haired guy to sneak into a photo or two.
The day didn’t feel rushed. It was beautiful with all of the details. It was comfortable like home is. It was perfection.
This is just a peek for Mary and Coley. We’re starting at the beginning of this fabulous day while the rest of the edits and organizing of images are completed.
I want to wish an early congratulations to this young man on his upcoming graduation.
He’s almost in the first few days of his senior year in high school.
As anyone who has ever completed high school can attest, those upcoming school days will fly past so quickly it will seem like a blur and before anyone realizes it, there will be a cap and a tassel and plans for the future underway.
I met this young man many years ago and have had the complete privilege of seeing him approximately once a year for family photographs.
In those moments of photographing him, I have seen him grow up and know he will has a wonderful future ahead.
***Congratulations on your upcoming graduation and best of wishes in your future. Please find the rest of your images here.
