When Loved-Ones Come Home

I had been speaking with her about family pictures recently. She has two sons. But they are away. So, it’s just her husband and herself these days. She was hoping to get a session in when she had everyone home.

Before long, she sent a notice of excitement that her boys were all home together and that was quickly followed up with a reach out to me to set up a time. Perfect! As a mother of two boys myself, I know there will be a day in the not too far away when I will look forward to having them all together like I will look forward to nothing else.

She is a fellow artist. She’s kind and beautiful, inside and out – as the men in her world are handsome.

We had a fabulous, though cold, wintery morning for the occasion.

I think it may have been a little bit fun!

It has been a pleasure getting to know your family. I look forward to finding many more ways our paths will cross. Please find the rest of your photo session here.

The Age of Having Fun

There is an age range, I think, within which little ones laugh at life and view everything as a way to experience fun in its purest form. I think this little guy is enmeshed in that age right now.

He knows how to laugh.

He knows how to fly.

He runs like the wind.

And he looks at life from a very different perspective. Some would call it upside down, but it seems very right-side-up to me.

Life for this little one and for his supportive and kind family, is purely fun.

Spending even a little time with him makes others laugh. His grandparents for sure are not immune to the laughter he brings out.

I am confident the reason this little guy is wrapped up in a world of laughter and fun is because of these two loving people.

What a wonderful family!

Through the Days

I remember the first time I met this young lady. She was just born and I was just married. I have difficulty believing enough time has passed since that day that she could have grown from that adorable little infant into this beautiful young lady, but it’s true.

The day I met her was also the same day I met her strong spirited, kind and amazing mom.

Our worlds connect here and there over the days between that first meeting and now and I have been nothing but happy for the friendship that has grown out of it.

Thank you for the opportunity to capture your smiles on this lovely fall day. You are both beautiful and look a bit like sisters, if you ask me. Please find the rest of your online album here.
