We had an ice storm yesterday.
The world was frozen
Under a crystal clear layer of ice.
Encapsulated in cold
Waiting to be thawed
by the first warm breath of spring
Though travel was difficult
and many trees had toppled under the weight of the ice,
It was hard to ignore the beauty of the trees glistening under the chill.
I met Ashley at a wedding. She made a very stunning Maid of Honor. When she recently contacted me and told me her good news, I was very excited. I knew before seeing her again that she would be completely beautiful.
When she arrived for her maternity session,
there was a whole lot of love in the room.
These gorgeous sweeties
were very excited about meeting the baby.
And in case you were wondering… it’s a girl!
and best of luck.
I can’t wait to meet the newest addition to your beautiful family.

I only had a couple of portrait sessions this past week. So, I switched gears and equipment from my cameras and lenses to this unruly beast:
I also switched my evening attire from dressy to…
I took on a floor. I think the floor has won on quite a few levels. But, the good news is that it’s just about finished. I’m feeling a little beat up, but I think it has been a very rewarding experience.
It’s that time of year when love is in the air. Valentine’s Day is right around the corner and people are preparing to share their feelings with their friends and loved ones. Every year, I break out some red clothes and cheesy red props and make my kids pose with them for Valentine’s Day cards.
This year, my boys were not exactly thrilled.
Thankfully, after a few minutes they were bribed, coerced and convinced to smile and pretend they were enjoying themselves.
This one is my favorite from the session.
